What's Makes these Pups so Special!
We have been breeding Border Collie puppies for more than 20 years. We breed for size and temperament. They are purebred but not registerable. Brand is AKC registered Border Collie but Bliss is unregistered. She is descended from our first male Bandit who was champion bred but sold with no paperwork. This wasn't a problem because we were never interested in a piece of paper but a dog that was bred to be a member of the family. The traits we look for in a family dog are prevalent in our female line as well as Brand. Our dogs are purebred not registered making our puppies more affordable, which fits well with families on a budget.
We spend a tremendous amount of time with our puppies so that they are well socialized. They are medium size dogs with the males averaging between 45 and 55 pounds and the females averaging between 35 and 45 pounds. We train them to sit and wait to eat, and start the potty training process by introducing puppy pads and dog doors. We start them crate training so they are prepared and ready to travel. They respond to "due your business" as their cue to go to the bathroom. Check back often for training techniques as we will be creating our YouTube channel full of helpful tips to make your life with a Border Collie a huge success.
We expose them to many different sounds like vacuums, pots and pans, coins in a jar and College Football (on TV only) and we read to them most evenings. They really like Westerns, Adventures and Mysteries. This is a great time to begin teaching them to have an 'off' switch.
If you are in the tri-State area (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana) or anywhere for that matter, you are welcome to stop by and meet us and our pups. We love our dogs and want each and every pup to go to a home where they will be as cherished as they are here.
